About the Exhibit

Located in Little Rock's River Market, the Arcade building was inspired by a marketplace torn down in 1960. The story of the original City Market and Arcade, an architectural wonder in its day, depicts the history of downtown Little Rock, illuminating its highs and lows.

UA Little Rock Center for Arkansas History and Culture offers a collection of resources, including papers, books, photographs, maps, and audio/visual materials, related to history, government, include five former governors and several legislators.
