The Anthropology Club is open to all students at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is composed of individuals with a variety of backgrounds. Human University is a strong focus within the field of anthropology and this is reflected in the organization. Anthropology’s mission is to teach individuals about the biological and cultural diversity of humankind, to understand the common origins of all humans, and to insist on an interdisciplinary approach to understanding humanity. This ranges from the study of culture and social relations to human biology and evolution; languages, music, art, and architecture; and to past vestiges of human habitation. It considers such fascinating topics such as how human behavior changes over time, how people move about the world, why and how people from dissimilar cultures are different and yet also the same, how the human species has evolved over millions of years, and how individuals understand and operate successfully in distinct cultural settings.<\/p>\n Anthropology includes four broad fields-cultural anthropology, linguistic anthropology, physical anthropology, and archaeology.
