This collection contains regimental histories of 161 Arkansas units compiled by the Confederacy during the Civil War.  The histories of twenty-three Federal units and seven United States Colored troops are also included.  1 reel.

This collection contains war-time casualties lists submitted by the Confederate War Department for the following states:  Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.  These records are part of the War Department Collection of Confederate Records located at the National Archives, Record Group 109.  These microfilms are of value since many records, considered nominal at the time, were not necessarily published in The War of the Rebellion:  A Compilation of the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies (Washington, D.C.:, 1881-1901).  4 reels.

This collection contains war-time records pertaining to Confederate prisoners of war confined by Federal authorities for the period 1861-1865 for the following states:  Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and New Orleans.  These records are part of the War Department Collection of Confederate Records located at the National Archives, Record Group 109.  These microfilms are of value since many records, considered nominal at the time, were not necessarily published in The War of the Rebellion:  A Compilation of the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies (Washington, D.C.:, 1881-1901).  4 reels.

Compiled Records Showing Service of Military Units in Volunteer Union Organizations (Washington, D.C. :   National Archives, National Archives and Records Service, General Services Administration, 1965) [Spec Coll 186]

These records provide military service histories of units in volunteer Union organizations for the states of Arkansas and Louisiana.  The compiled records are card abstracts containing information relating to the stations, movements, or activities of each unit or a part of it and frequently to its organization or composition, strength, losses, and disbandment.  In addition, various names of commanding officers, the dates the unit was called into service and mustered out, the terms of service and similar information are included.  2 reels.

These records provide Confederate army muster rolls for the following states:  Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Texas.  4 reels.
