Time of Fear

Time of Fear

The Time of Fear documentary premiered in 2005 on PBS and focused on the stories of those at Rohwer Relocation Center and Jerome Relocation Center in Arkansas.

Former internees at both camps shared their experiences of being uprooted from their homes and sent to what seemed like a foreign land. Also interviewed are the native Arkansans living next to the camps, many of whom never met a Japanese American. They described their shock when thousands of Japanese Americans, who were initially perceived as the "enemy," poured into massive camps near their tiny communities.
