{"id":24,"date":"2022-03-04T22:44:47","date_gmt":"2022-03-04T22:44:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ualrexhibits.org\/murfprojectblog\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2024-08-16T20:37:20","modified_gmt":"2024-08-16T20:37:20","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ualrexhibits.org\/murfprojectblog\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t<h1><strong>Mapping Little Rock History Project<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Mapping Little Rock History brings together humanities scholars, archivists, and technical specialists to create public access to thousands of primary source maps, reports, and photographs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This project explores questions like:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Why and how has the concept of desegregation evolved?\u00a0<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">What effects federal urban renewal programs had in a mid-sized city?<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Why and how racial distribution changed over time concerning housing and schools?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Users can explore Little Rock&#8217;s history in new and compelling ways because these sources have been digitized and geolocated. Robust search features allow users to find historical material by type (videos, maps, etc.), date, keyword, and address.
