{"id":175,"date":"2020-09-15T12:58:33","date_gmt":"2020-09-15T17:58:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ualrexhibits.org\/zerohour\/?page_id=175"},"modified":"2021-08-23T13:25:15","modified_gmt":"2021-08-23T18:25:15","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ualrexhibits.org\/zerohour\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1>\n\t\tAbout the Center\n\t<\/h1>\n\t\n\t<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ualr.edu\/cahc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Center for Arkansas History and Culture<\/a> (CAHC) at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock strives to be a unique and reliable resource that explores and promotes Arkansas&#8217;s rich history through identifying, collecting, and preserving Arkansas records that are of enduring value to the state.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tMission\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The UA Little Rock Center for Arkansas History and Culture collects, keeps safe, and makes available Arkansas history that connects people to each other and their shared experiences.<\/p>\n<h1>\n\t\tAbout the Exhibit\n\t<\/h1>\n\t\n\t<p>&#8220;Zero Hour: Arkansas in 1980&#8221;\u00a0explores the year 1980 as a pivotal moment in both American and Arkansas history. It focuses on the Titan II disaster in Damascus, the ERArkansas women&#8217;s rights activist group, and the 1980 Arkansas Constitutional Convention, and it further engages viewers by providing an interactive experience based on historical materials from the CAHC&#8217;s collections.<\/p>\n<p>This online exhibit was a collaborative project by graduate assistants for the Center for Arkansas History and Culture: Acadia Roher, Laura Fuentes, and Emily Summers.
