Oral Histories

Oral Histories

Decades after the Little Rock Central High School Desegregation Crisis, scholars and researchers captured memories in the form of oral histories, a method used to preserve experiences of people and communities. These captured memories come from the Little Rock Nine, politicians, journalists, and other people with stories to tell. From these words in video and audio formats, the public can gain an insight of the crisis from witnesses who were on the ground and scholars who spent their careers studying it.
