Welcome to the Arkansas Primary Source Sets database. Central Arkansas teachers, working with the UA Little Rock Center for Arkansas History and Culture, developed curated sets of primary source documents, funded by the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources (LOC-TPS) regional grant program. Our goal is to help educators use historical inquiry to meet Arkansas frameworks in social studies and disciplinary literacy in grades K-12. Each primary source set contains a question for inquiry, and each of the primary source documents in the set helps to answer the question from a particular perspective. Text-dependent questions accompany each document. Additional resources and appropriate state frameworks are at the end of each document set.
